May 19th, Boehringer-Ingelheim
















Mr. Günter Reinke, CEO & President of Boehringer-Ingelheim Korea, presented his company and gave advices to our students.

Boehringer Ingelheim GmbH as the headquarter is located in Ingelheim, the German town where the family-owned company was founded in 1885. Prof. Dr Andreas Barner is Chairman of the Board of Managing Director. He is also Head of Corporate Board Division Pharma Research, Development and Medicine. The ultimate parent company of Boehringer Ingelheim is C.H. Boehringer Sohn.

Boehringer Ingelheim has 142 affiliated companies in 50 countries. And in 2009, the Boehringer Ingelheim group of companies had a total mean of 41,534 employees.

"Value through Innovation" is the company's vision and headline goal. "Value through Innovation" means for the company analysing and anticipating the value that customers will put on their products and services and then seeking to increase it by finding new and better ways of achieving the customer's goal. The company's business consists of Prescription Medicines, Consumer Health Care, Biopharmaceuticals, Operations (Pharmaceuticals Production, Pharma Chemicals) and Animal Health. They have committed themselves to the goal of serving humankind through research into diseases and the development of new drugs and therapies. Animal health business made excellent progress, due to their core business segments of swine and small animals.

Employment process has some steps such as resume screening, interviews, health check-up and so on. And they want innovative and developing person. I felt he want to talk to us various things.During his presentation, I thought about the future.I think Boehringer-Ingelheim will be one of the most influential company.

  2. I presentated this company. So, lecture of Mr. Günter Reinke, CEO of Boehringer-Ingelheim Korea, was more impressive than other lectures. The company has massive amounts of the domestic market share in pharmacy. His lecture was very helpful for me and other students too.

  3. Mr. Günter Reinke, CEO & President of Boehringer-Ingelheim Korea, gave us many advice. All his speech was very useful and helpful. He emphasized the reasons that we have to study English. After I heard his advice, I'm studying English in English language institute. I really thank him.

    Because he adviced us that we can enhance our strength. And his presentation was easy to understand.
    I wanted to go to a dinner with him. But I couldn't go there because of my English language institute. I was so sad.
    And I'd like to take this opportunity to thank him and Prof.Menke .
